Moss Stitch - Stitch Sample

The Moss Stitch is one of the basic knit and purl stitches and is closely related to the Seed Stitch. It's a very versatile and easy reversible stitch suitable for any knitting project.

Note: Sometimes the Seed Stitch is refered to as Moss Stitch, in which case the Moss Stitch shown here is referred to as Double Moss Stitch.

Difficulty level: Easy

Instructions

You need an even number of stitches plus 2 edge stitches. Repeat the pattern between the arrows as many times as you like.

Work the right side rows (1, 3, etc.) from right to left, as shown in the chart. Work all stitches on the wrong side as they appear.
