1x1 Rib Stitch - Stitch Sample

Basic "knit 1, purl 1" ribbing. Similar to the 2x2 Rib Stitch, it's widely used as the only stitch in projects such as socks, scarves etc. It's also very popular as the ribbed basis for sweaters, hats, gloves, mittens etc.

Difficulty level: Easy

Instructions

You need a stitch number multiple of 2 + 2 edge stitches. Repeat the pattern between the arrows as many times as you like.

Work right side rows (1, 3, etc.) from right to left, as shown in the chart. Work all stitches on the wrong side as they appear.
